Installation high prices

I bought my Richmond water heater in July of 1989, at a cost of $179 at quality farm and fleet. Wanted to buy one in Oct of 2107, however they were priced out of my affordability range. Ended up with another brand that cost $379 at home depot.....then came the bigger shock, prices from $350 to $675 to install it....really people?

Almost as bad as Rotor Roter who charged me $230, yes that's right $230 to replace a pea trap under the sink!!!! That rip off will never ever happen again....I will install this hot water heater and disconnect the old one by myself. Not made of money like everyone else isn't. Some of these people and their charges are insane, just because I'am an old female don't mean you will get a chance to bend me over the yard arm...ever again.
